Agnes V. Frye

Frye, Agnes V., 76 of Connor Towers, Johnstown, formerly of Mentcle, died June 9, 2003 at UPMC Lee Regional. Born February 21, 1927, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Viola (Dick) Young. Preceded in death by husband James W. in 1984. Survived by children, Linda married to Dennis Choate of Barstow, CA, Barbara married to John Nudge of Bellefonte, and Joan married to Bruce Swanson of Las Vegas; grandchildren Tyler and Brian Choate; sister Dorothy Rudge of Johnstown, and niece Randy Rudge. Also survived by close family friend, James Smith of Clymer. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with nephew Rev. Donald Rudge. Interment McDowell Cemetery. Mrs. Frye loved animals and requested that absolutely no flowers be sent, and that memorial contributions may be made to Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Ext., Johnstown, PA 15904.
