Hrubochak, Agnes , 92 Northern Cambria, passed away September 19, 2016 at home. Born October 20, 1923 in Barnesboro, daughter of John and Mary (Hamady) Kunch. Preceded in death by parents, husband John who passed away March 21, 2013, sisters, Peggy Saraney, Betty Hromoko, Ann Tabatcher and Helen Rudy and brothers Steve and George Kunch. Survived by children, John J. and wife Dolores ( Penska), Northern Cambria, Joanne and husband Jay Mortenson, St. Petersburg, Fl. Marianne and husband David Mehall and James and wife Nora (Clark) both of Hastings. Grandchildren, John M. and Christina Hrubochak, Justin and Jeremy Mortenson, Keri (Denny) Marshall and David J. Mehall and Olivia Hrubochak. Great grandchildren Landon and Lydia Marshall. Also survived by brother John Kunch of Griffith, IN., and Michael Kunch of Rochester, MI. During WWII Agnes worked in an airplane factory. She was proud of being a Rosie the Riveter. She also worked at the shoe factory in Hastings and was a Nurses Aid at Miners Hospital where she worked many years at a job she loved. Family was important to Agnes and she loved spending time with them. There wasn't a family function that went by that she didn't tell some of her jokes. She enjoyed going to church picnics and especially will be remembered for her baked goods, especially her pies and nut rolls. A member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
