Alice V. Ober

Ober, Alice V., 72 of Communities of Indian Haven, formerly of Bakerton, died May 18, 2005 at Indiana Haven. Born October 26, 1932 in Bakerton daughter of Howard and Goldie (Hagens) Lamer. Preceded in death by parents, 1st husband William Houk, 2nd husband Raymond Wike, Sr., 3rd husband Dallas Ober, son Raymond W. Wike, Jr., and brothers Clayton and James Lamer. Survived by children William Houk, La Vergne, TN; and Chase Dallas Ober, Texas; grandchildren Susan and Robert; and great-grandchildren Brianna Lynn, Madison Nicole and Bradley. Also survived by these brothers and sisters: Ruth, Edith, Rothard, Raymond, Evelyn, Linda, and George. Former bus driver for Blacklick School District; former nurse's aid for Ebensburg State School; and former teacher's aid in Florida. Formerly attended Church of the Nazarene, Ebensburg. At Alice's request there will be no viewing. Friends and family are invited to a graveside memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Belsano Faith United Methodist Church Cemetery, with her son Rev. William Houk officiating. Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, is in charge of arrangements.
