Alma Marie (Good) Lute

Lute, Alma Marie (Good) 86 Alverda died March 3, 2015 at her son's home in Toronto, Ohio. Born September 13, 1928 in Alverda, daughter  of Stephen Edward "Eddie" and Sarah Catherine (Glenn) Good. Preceded in death by parents, husband, George Washington who died September 19, 1996, in- laws, Robert and Mary (Keith) Lute, brothers, Stanley, Gilbert, Edwin, Ervin and Doyle Good, sisters Charlotte, Ruth, Savilla ad Ruby. Survived by children, Samuel married to the former Shirley Patterson of Commodore, Cathy married to Vallie Renninger of Clymer, Melody married to Lawrence Russell McCauley  Jr. of Homer City, Curtis married to the former Kim Wilson-Ziegler, Toronto, Ohio. Twelve  grandchildren, Steven (Angie) Renninger, Jeanne (Michael) Hammond, Stephanie (Joseph) Perkey, Beth Burnett, Gretchen (Eric) Henry, Andy McCauley, Toby McCauley and Anthony Burnett, Ten great grandchildren, Austin Bingahman, Kyler Renninger, Kiara Renninger, Logan Henry, Hunter Perkey, Natasha Burnett, Kenneth Wilson, Xander Hammond, Kameron Perkey and Leehm Burnett, sister, Jennie Davis.  Brother and sister- in- laws, Mary "Chrissie" Good, Edna Sheesley, Mary Good, Hazel Lute, Donald and Helen Johns and Robert and Anna (Marie) Lute and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her pal of 82 years, Lavada Johns Sensabaugh. Alma worked at the Willard Orphanage County Home of Indiana prior to her  marriage to the love of her life. She married George on September 15, 1951. They shared 45 years of marriage together. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and loved to can fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed years of camping along the river in the Allegheny National Forest. She was known to a lot of CB friends as the Glutten Canner. She loved to travel the United States. Her favorite places were Plymouth, Michigan and Tucson, Arizona. She also loved to bake cookies and her favorite past time was embroidering and finding words in circle-a -word books. She loved her two granddogs that lived with her for six years, Brreeze and Myles. She was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Alma was an active member of the Alverda Faith Tabernacle. She taught Sunday school and bible school for many years along with acting as superintendent of the Alverda Assembly of God Church. She loved to sing  gospel hymns and attend the County Hymn Sings and Blue Grass Celebrations. She enjoyed the Two Lick Valley Senior Center in Clymer. She was a member of the Two Lick Rod and Gun Club and served as assistant cook for the annual corn roast and fish fries. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 followed by a celebration of her life at 3 p.m. at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria. Interment will be private at McDowell Cemetery in Green Township.
