Alva Murrell Leamer

Leamer, Alva Murrell 58 of Ebensburg, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at his homestead in Cherry Tree Rd., surrounded by his loved ones. Born January 19, 1958 in Punxsutawney, son of  Alva and Sara (Westover) Leamer. Preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law Willard Lecates.   He is survived by a brother Edward married to Linda Yingling of Middlefield, OH, sisters Pearl, Patty and Sarah, all at home, Carol and Linda Long of Westover and Linda Lecates of Laurel, DE.  Also survived by 3 nieces and nephews, several great- nieces and great- nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.Alva worked at Coca Cola Bottling Co. for almost 40 years. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria and from 10: 00 a.m. until time of funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Evangelical Church Cherry Tree Rd. Ron Westover  officiating. Interment East Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions  may be made to American Cancer Society 350 Budfield Street, Johnstown, Pa.
