Ann Nastasi, 102 of Northern Cambria passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home.
She was born March 26, 1918 in Nu Mine, Pa a daughter of the late Anthony and Florence (Marino) Sgro. She married Eugene S. Nastasi whom preceded her in death on August 20, 2005.
Surviving are her sons, Anthony of Hollidaysburg, Joseph and wife Rena of Woodbury; five grandchildren, Danielle, Joseph, A.J., David, and Nicole; thirteen great grandchildren and two sisters, Florence Marshall and Catherine Shimmel.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Angelo, Albert, Dominic, Pete, Anthony, Joseph Sgro and two sisters, Louise Calogero, Jennie Rezzela.
Ann was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Building and Grounds Committee, Liturgy Committee, she was a eucharist minister at Mt. Carmel and Prince of Peace Church, and cooked at Mt. Carmel rectory for five and half years. Ann enjoyed cooking and was a very strong woman, who cared for her family and friends.
Services will be held privately. Entombment will be made at Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown. Arrangements are made by Barrett Funeral Home, Northern Cambria.
