Ann S. Rice

Rice, Ann S., 84 of Northern Cambria, died February 24, 2003 at home. Born April 15, 1917, in St. Benedict, daughter of John and Pearl (Graffius) Lyons. Preceded in death by parents, husband Ira R., who died in 1968, brothers James and John Lyons, and sister Francina Kerfoot. Last surviving member of immediate family. Survived by children, John of Sharpsville, and Iris Pershing of Northern Cambria. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was a licensed practical nurse for 20 years, and retired from Indiana Hospital in 1979. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Interment North Barnesboro Cemetery. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Mrs. Rice by Long-Contres.
