Anthony J. Barczak

Barczak, Anthony J., 77 of Northern Cambria, died January 2, 2004 at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born February 22, 1926, in Barnesboro, son of Daniel and Blanche (Proznek) Barczak. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Mary Gwizdak, Sophie Moore, and Stella Gwizdak; and brothers John, Victor and Pete. Survived by sister Florence Voytish, Northern Cambria; and special friend Frances Simo, Northern Cambria. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Retired employee of Susquehanna Twp. Member of former St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church; member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., followed by Vigil for the deceased. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where military rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
