Poyle, Anthony, 83 of Concord Township, Ohio, formerly of Barnesboro died December 6, 2002 at Hospice House, Cleveland, OH. Born December 16, 1916, in East Riverside, PA son of Michael and Virginia (Parenty) Poyle. Preceded in death by parents, wife former Minnie (Corio) Gamrat Poyle, brothers Alessandro, James, Albert, Charles, and Michael, and sisters Elizabeth DeCredico, Sue DeNelle and Anne Ciccati. Survived by step-son Paul and wife Penny Gamrat of Concord Township, OH, and grandchildren Jeremy and Jolinda Feldner. Also survived by brother John and many nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he received the Purple Heart. Retired custodian for Willoughby-Eastlake Public Schools. Charter Member of the F.O.E., Aerie 2300, Willoughby, OH. Mr. Poyle was a Golden Glove Championship Boxer. Friends received from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at noon Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Interment Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, where graveside military rites will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
