Benjamin J Niebauer

Niebauer, Benjamin J. III 62 Hastings, died March 31, 2016 at home. Born July 20, 1953 in Spangler, son of Benjamin J. II and Mary E. (Hermalik) Niebauer. Preceded in death by parents, wife Diane (Quevy) Niebauer on October 25, 2015, brother, Robert and infant twin Dennis. Survived by daughter, Rebecca (Chris) Wilson of Cherry Tree, step-children, Lena Hnatkovich of North Carolina and Kelly Hnatkovich of Patton, grandchildren, Travis Lee, Ethan O'Leary, Ronny Plazek, Mark Hnatkovich, Sara and  Dylan Huber. Brother of Kathy Weakland of Cannonsburg , Christy Homerski and Lisa McMurray both of Patton and  mother-in-law, Clare Quevy of Patton . Ben was retired from Bethlem #33 coal mines. A member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and many social clubs. An avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his camp at Chest Falls, Mahaffey. At Ben's request there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday April 9 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church followed by a dinner at Hastings Moose. Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria is in charge of arrangements.
