Birchall, Bernard Fullered, 89 of Cherry Tree, died July 2, 2004 at his home. Born May 11, 1915, in Barnesboro, son of James and Mary Ann (Dukes) Birchall. Preceded in death by parents, stepmother Delila (Shanks) Birchall; brothers Fred, Harry, and Theodore; sisters Stella Hill, and Hilda McCoy; granddaughter Lisa Gochnour; great-grandson Gregory Dolansky; and granddaughter-in-law Diane Dolansky. Survived by wife, of 68 years former Anna McIlwain; children, Mary Anna married to William Porter, Cleveland, OH; Karen married to Charles Dolansky, and Garry married to Vera (Peddicord), both of Cherry Tree, Bernard married to Regina (Solnosky), Northern Cambria, and Charles married to Joline (D'Amour), Westover. Also grandchildren Ronald and David Gochnour; Danette Proffitt, Jennifer Wagner, Brian Birchall, Diane Freidhof, Brenda Kelly, Charles Birchall, Charlene Weaver, Charles Dolansky, Greg Dolansky, Tracy Buterbaugh, Garry Birchall, Jr., and Jerel Klue; and great-grandchildren Lisa, Mylisa, and Alisa Gochnour; Dosey Bruce Gochnour, Chuck, Micheal, and Daniel Proffitt, Maryann and Lindsay Wagner, Kenneth and Janessa Freidhof, Noah and Jonah Kelly, Haley, Alysia, Lakin, Brian Jr., and Austin Birchall, Michelle and Bradley Weaver, Samantha and Kevin Birchall, and Cindy and Gregory Dolansky. Also brother, Rev. Philip Birchall, North Carolina, and sister Evelyn Heineman, Lewistown. Retired coal miner from Barnes and Tucker #24B, Nicktown. Also a retired farmer. He was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 1269 since 1935. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Cherry Tree, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Philip Birchall. Interment East Ridge Cemetery.
