Bernice M. Mondi

              Bernice M. Mondi, 91 of Northern Cambria passed away, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings.

               She was born January 9, 1930, in St. Benedict a daughter to the late Steve and Grace (Gross) Marana.              

               She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Mondi; brothers, Simon, Steve and Frank Marana; sisters, Concetta Trovato, Lena Ferri, Josephine Morealli, Mary Horn and Vicki Stanek, and a son in law, Michael Sowalla.

               Surviving are her four children, Angelo (Leanne) Mondi of Kersey, Larry (Kerri) Mondi of Nicktown, Nancy Mondi-Sowalla of Northern Cambria, Maria (Richard) Zedek of Carrolltown; six grandchildren, Eric, Gina, Ashlee, Drew, Brad and Lindsey; and seven great grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua, Brynn, Dominic, Carter, Brazina, and Ellie

               She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking Sunday family dinners, going out for lunch with her friends, playing cards and going polka dancing with her late husband. The holidays were her favorite time of the year.  

               Friends will be received Friday, August 6, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria and Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 100 S. Main St., Carrolltown, with Father Michael Gabler officiating.
