Bertha Pauline Soltis

Soltis, Bertha Pauline, 75 of Emeigh, died September 23, 2002 at home. Born October 29, 1926, in Kellytown, daughter of Leo and Mary (Sotack) Prosky. Preceded in death by parents, husband John Jr. in 1970, daughter Joann, brothers Lou, and Joe, and sisters Mary Ann Sowalla and Agnes Prosky. Last surviving member of immediate family. Survived by children, David married to former Barbara Rieger of Chantilly, VA, and Diane married to Roy Pate of Punxsutawney, and 6 grandchildren. Member of former Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Emeigh. At Bertha's request, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Committal at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery. Family requests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice, in lieu of flowers.
