Carmen Marella

               Carmen Marella, 83 of Northern Cambria passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.

               He was born on November 25, 1941, in Spangler the son of the late Fred and Rachel Marella.

               Surviving are two daughters, Debra (Wilbur, Jr.) Kelly of Northern Cambria, and Lisa (Paul) Dey of Altoona; a granddaughter Elizabeth Dey of Altoona; two sisters, Rose Marella and Janet Krug and two beloved dog grandbabies, Sammy and Oliver. 

               He was preceded by his parents, and six siblings, Mary Pagano, Margaret Kachmar, Katherine Malengo, Joseph Marella, Anthony Marella and John Marella.

               Carmen was a U.S. Army Veteran serving the Vietnam war. He worked at Barnes & Tucker for numerous years and then Al’s Tires and Auto.

               He was a member of the Barnesboro VFW post 343 and Barnesboro American Legion Post 508. Carmen enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Elizabeth, he loved taking her everywhere he went. He was a great man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

              Friends will be received Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Donald Ferguson officiating.
