Charles J. Harkleroad, Jr

Harkleroad, Charles J. Jr., 76 of Westover R.D. , died January 22, 2004 at home. Born February 22, 1927, in Mahaffey R.D., son of C.J., Sr. and Mary (Bouch) Harkleroad. Preceded in death by parents, and brother Fred. Survived by wife of 54 years, former Helen Rorabaugh, and children, Judy married to John Weaver of Moatsville, WV; Mary Lou married to Mike Grom of Emporium; and Dennis at home; and grandchildren Jennifer and Janelle Weaver; and David, Michael and Danika Grom. Also survived by brother Howard and wife Margaret of Westover R.D. A self employed dairy farmer, he also owned and operated a school bus for 40 years for Harmony Area School District. Member of East Ridge-Harmony United Methodist Church. Served as Chairman of the committee for the Clearfield Agway store for several years. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Cherry Tree, where funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Rev. John Dallape. Interment East Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of one's choice or to East Ridge-Harmony United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. John Dallape, P.O.
