Colleen (Peel) Dee, 83 passed away, December 31, 2025, at her home in Flinton, Pennsylvania after a long battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Born October 24,1942, in Spangler, the daughter to the late Wesley and Delcabella (Lawrence) Peel. Preceded in death by her parents, husband of sixteen years, Roger Dee, granddaughter, Nicole Fleming, brothers, Wesley, Alex, Fred, and Gary Peel and sisters, Phyllis Barnes and Doreen Askew.
Survived by sons, Richard (Veronica) Fleming of Flinton and Douglas Fleming of North Beach, MD; three grandchildren, Valerie, Regan and Paige Fleming; three great grandchildren, Cole, Brayden and Zane; sister of Delca Smith of Cherry Tree; Tracy (John) Bradford of Flinton and Delca Bryant of TX, and many nieces and nephews.
Colleen worked as an executive assistant for a senator in our nation’s capital and later became a legal assistant at a prestigious Washington, D.C. law firm. When she married the love of her life, Roger Dee, their adventures took them all over the country, and they lived abroad in Italy for a period of time until she returned to her hometown of Moss Creek. Colleen enjoyed socializing, sometimes bartending at the local American Legion, and ended each evening relaxing with a glass of merlot. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you raise a glass in her remembrance to celebrate the new year. At Colleen’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barrett Funeral Home, Northern Cambria.
