David Allen “Chado” Barrett, Sr., 56 of Northern Cambria passed away July 29, 2018 at home. He was born June 16, 1962 in Johnstown a son of the late John A. and Margaret “Peggy” (Carothers) Barrett.
Surviving are his mother, Peggy; two sons, David A., Jr. and wife Kristina and Jesse of Northern Cambria , a daughter, Britta of Northern Cambria; four grandchildren, Destini, Blaze, Hunter and Meadow; four siblings, Sherri Barrett of Northern Cambria, Carl Barrett (Barb Kruise) and Lori and husband Bill Spotts all of Emeigh, and Debbie and husband Clarence Long of St. Benedict and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Lee Barrett.
He was a 1980 graduate of Northern Cambria High School.
Chado was a member of Spangler Legion, Spangler V.F.W., Slovak Club, Hastings V.F.W., and Hastings Firermen’s Club.
Chado was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He was an amazing cook that could whip up anything. He also loved hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
Friends will be received Wednesday August 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Nicole Balzer officiating.
