Dorothy I. (Stewart) Novella

Novella, Dorothy I. 86 Northern Cambria passed away January 24, 2018 at Haida Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings. Born July 14, 1931 in Spangler, daughter of Milo and Eva (Hadden) Stewart. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stanley in 2006 and grandsons Dennis Thomas and Joseph Parrish and brother Bernard Stewart.  Survived by children Deborah and husband Joe Parrish of Reading; Denise and husband Roy “Den” Thomas of Northern Cambria; Stanley and wife Julie of Dysart; Joseph and wife Christine of Cherry Tree and Michelle and husband Mike McCall of Northern Cambria.  Also survived by grandchildren Cindy, Shannon, Shawn, Gary, Kennedy, Kaitlyn, Evan, Cassidy and Michael, and several great-grandchildren, and her companion cat “Cookie”. Dorothy was formerly employed at the Barnesboro Shirt Factory and retired from Miners Hospital laundry dept., Spangler.  Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of Catholic funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Long-Contres Funeral Home. Inc., Northern Cambria. Fr. Donald Dusza. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.
