Edith M Mondi

Mondi, Edith M. 96 Hastings, formerly of Northern Cambria died April 10, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Haida, Hastings. Born February 16, 1920 in Niagara Falls, New York, daughter of Angelo and Josephine (Renda) Mondi. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Frank and Joseph Renda, Larry, Dominic and Angelo Mondi and sister's, Frances ( Renda) Mondi, Angeline (Mondi) Terrizzi and Josephine (Mondi) Neri. Last surviving member of her immediate family.  Survived by numerous  nieces and nephews. Edith worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Barnesboro Library, Valenty Wholesale Company and Northern Cambria High School. A active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was one of the morning mass people and helped with funeral dinners. Friends received at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria  Friday from 1:30 until time of Catholic funeral service at 3:30 p.m.  Rev. Larry Lacovic. Committal Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Special thanks to staff at Haida Manor and AseraCare Hospice.
