Edna Strollo, 93 of Nicktown, passed away September 4, 2021, at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, Hastings.
She was born February 8, 1928, in St. Lawrence the daughter of the late Henry and Lucy (Massett) Lechene. She married Michael Strollo, Sr. in 1949. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2011.
Surviving are children, Michael Jr. (Vivian) of Northern Cambria, Barbara Murray (Mark Bowen) of FL, Mark (David Gill) of FL, David (Aaron Mason) of CO, and Jon (Anne) of Nicktown; grandchildren, Michael Peter, Rachelle Luckock, Richard, Darren, and Christian Murray, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Emily Strollo; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jenalise Luckock, Lydia and Nora Murray.
She was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Eva Luther, Henry, Maurice, George, Paul, and Leo Lechene.
Edna was a Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She graduated from the Army Corps nursing program at Miners Hospital where she was a registered nurse for many years. She was also a bookkeeper at Strollo’s Home Center for 30 years.
Friends will be received Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Prince of Peace Chapel. Committal will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
