Elaine Winings Obituary

             Elaine “Punky” Winings, 81 of St. Benedict passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

            She was born June 19, 1940, in Cresson. A daughter of the late, Paul and Germaine (Durbin) Risban. She married Clair R. Winings, Sr. on February 16, 1957.

            Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Clair; five children, Germaine (Jeffry) Dillon of Northern Cambria, Clair Winings, Jr. of Carrolltown, Daniel (Nettie) Winings of Carrolltown, Susan Winings of Hastings, Lori (Robert) Stermer of Hanover; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; four siblings, Paul Jo Risban, Thomas Riban, Gloria Thatcher and Paula Viscusi; her dog Chloe and two cats.

            Elaine retired from the Ebensburg State School. She also had a small business called Elaine’s Ceramics for many years.  

            She enjoyed ceramics, gardening, knitting, camping, boating, canning and trap shooting.

            Friends will be received 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022, at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday with Father Jeremiah Lange officiating.
