Elizabeth "Betty" Brant

Brant, Elizabeth "Betty", 83 of Northern Cambria, died July 3, 2002 at Miners Hospital, Hastings. Born March 17, 1919, in Greenwich, daughter of of George and Mary (Valla) Pivovarnik. Preceded in death by parents, twin grandsons, brother George Jr., sisters Julia and Irene, and an infant sister. Survived by husband of 62 years Ralph, and children, Carol Ann Sabella married to George of Northern Cambria, and Gerald married to former Chris Irwin of Patton, step-grandchildren Tristin and Jessica Irwin. Also survived by sister, Anna Bacha, and sister-in-law Cecilia Campbell, both of Northern Cambria. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church; Secular Franciscan Order, and PSERS. Retired teacher's aid from Northern Cambria School District. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where vigil for the deceased will be held and Secular Franciscan service at 2:30 p.m. Funeral mass will celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Chapel. Committal in St. John's Cemetery.
