Eve Bodnar

Bodnar, Eve, of Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg, formerly of Emeigh, died September 24, 2002 at the manor. Born in Emeigh, daughter of Simon and Martha (Kurkoski) Bernecky. Preceded in death by parents, husband Andrew in 1972, daughter Debra, brothers Sam, Peter, and Anthony, sisters Magdalene Witenski, and Mary Bernecky, nephew John Ciezobka, and grand-nephew Robin Bernecky. Survived by children, Andrew of Millersville, MD, Jean Presloid of Oaks, PA, James of Altoona, John of Cuba, NY, Thomas of St. Louis, MO, Diana Bobak of Northern Cambria, and Donna Hajduk of Cherry Tree, 15 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Sister of Joe of Buffalo, NY, Ann Zedack and Elizabeth Ciezobka, borh of Northern Cambria, John of Portage, and Bill of Clarence, NY. Member of former Most Precious Blood Catholic Church of Emeigh and its Altar and Rosary Society. Formerly employed at Barnesboro Shirt Factory, and AAA Capacitors of Cherry Tree. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Volunteered many hours of service to her church and community. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery.
