G. Ruth "Ruthie" Farabaugh

Farabaugh, G. Ruth "Ruthie", 74 of Northern Cambria, died September 24, 2002 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born May 24, 1928, in Spangler, daughter of Leo and Agnes (Barraclough) Farabaugh. Preceded in death by parents, baby sister Mary Harriet, brother Gerald and his wife Agnes. Survived by brother, Ross of Stoney Brook, Long Island and sisters, Elaine married to Frances Lantzy, Lois married to Frank Marshall, and Phyllis married to John Contres, all of Northern Cambria, and Carol Ricci of Johnstown, and numerous nieces and nephews.. Former insurance agent and retired legal secretary for Attorneys Westover and Lantzy, Spangler. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, former member of Catholic Daughters of America, one of the founding members and treasurer of Good Samaritan Food Pantry, and member of former Knights of Columbus Ladies Assembly. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Friday at Prince of Peace Chapel. Committal at St. Benedict Cemetery, Carrolltown. Family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Good Samaritan Food Pantry, P.O. Box 95, Northern Cambria, PA 15714.
