Bobby, George, 89 of Northern Cambria, died March 8, 2005 at Roper Hospital, Charleston, South Carolina. Born June 7, 1915, in Patton, son of Paul and Catherine (Junda) Bobby. Preceded in death by parents, wife former Ann Wadium in 1989, infant son George, granddaughter Allison Aulbach, brothers Michael, Paul, Peter, Metro, John, Joseph, and Andrew, and sisters Mary Hetsko, Alice Kruley, Theresa Yablinsky, and Anna Petranich. Survived by children Debby (Richard) Weshalek, Charleston, SC; Melanie (Richard) Aulbach, Annapolis, MD; and Carole (Gary)Bobby-Steele, Morrisville, NC. Also survived by grandchildren Matt and Lindsay Aulbach; Caitlin, Zachary, Ryan, and Brianna Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where he received special commendation from Brigadier General Joseph Cranston. Received American Campaign medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign medal, Good Conduct medal, and WWII Victory medal. Retired meat cutter from Barnesboro A&P after 47 years. Member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church. Member of Barnesboro American Legion and VFW, and Disabled American Veterans. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Parastas will be held at 7:00 p.m. Panachida service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Rev. Oliver Hebert. Interment St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery, Nanty Glo. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 719 Chestnut Avenue, Northern Cambria, PA 15714.
