Gloria Stohon, 77 of Northern Cambria passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at home. She was born April 1, 1946, in Spangler the daughter of the late, Michael and Faye (Neckley) Panar, Sr. She married her soulmate Edward Stohon, Sr. on April 1, 1995, he preceded her in death on September 28, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Barnosky.
Surviving is her daughter, Gina (Eric) Brines of Michigan; three sons, James Milko, David Milko both of Northern Cambria and Matthew (Becky) Milko of Indiana; six grandchildren, Drake Milko, Sierra Cunningham, Amelia Brines, Dylan Brines, Michael Milko, and Koy Milko; a brother Michael Panar, Jr. of Johnstown and a sister, Karen Panaro of Altoona.
Gloria loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and taking care of her two cats, Isis, and Tigress. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, feeding birds, rabbits and chipmunks that visited her yard. She liked writing poetry, listening to music, and reading Nora Roberts. She was the rock of the family with the purest heart.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria. A Memorial mass will be held on Friday January 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 811 Chestnut Ave., Northern Cambria, with Rev. Mark E. Groeger officiating.
