Hale H. Beck

Beck, Hale H., 94 of Salsgiver Personal Care Home, Glen Campbell, formerly of Westover R.D. died August 5, 2002 at Bon Secours Hospital, Altoona. Born December 2, 1907, in Burnside Twp., son of Adam K. and Sarah Jane (Hunter) Beck. Preceded in death by parents, wife, former Maymie C. Pierce, brothers Earl, Olson, Wade, and Ivan, and sisters Edna and Sena Kitchen, Mary McMasters, and Nellie Beck. Last surviving member of immediately family. Survived by daughter Bernice married to Edward Crawford of Ripley, NY, step-children Mona Faye married to Carl McGarvey, JoAnne married to Calvin Williams, and Phillip W. Rowles married to former Carol Hahlen, all of Louisville, KY, and Nancy L. married to Raphael "Skip" Bott of Westover R.D. Also Survived by numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Former heavy equipment operator for PennDot. Served as jury commissioner for Clearfield County for many years. He was a member of Harmony Grange #1201 for 50 years. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Cherry Tree, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Rev. John Dallape. Interment East Ridge Cemetery. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Mr. Beck by Long-Contres Funeral Home.
