Hazel Edith Leamer

Leamer Hazel Edith 86, of Northern Cambria, died January 2, 2004 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born July 12, 1917 in Hastings, daughter of John Blankenbricker and Roxie (Johns) Collinash. Preceded in death by parents, son Kenneth Lee, granddaughter Rachel Bragg, sister Kathryn Zeanchock and cousin Isabel Ashcraft. Survived by husband of 67 years Dallas Smith Leamer and children: Dallas and wife Sandra Strum and Kathy and husband Dan Solnosky both of Northern Cambria, and Connie and husband John Bragg of Beaver. Also survived by grand. Kevin Leamer and Kim Young; Jennifer and Kenneth Bragg and Ryan Solnosky and several nieces and nephews. 1936 graduate of Cherry Tree High School. Worked as nursing assistant at Mountain View Manor Nursing Home. Member of Emeigh United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer and taught Sunday School and organized their Bible School for many years. Past president and treasurer of United Methodist Womans Society. Member of Emeigh Homemakers. An avid gardener and stamp collector and supporter of the Humane Society. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria. Friends will also be received from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Emeigh United Methodist Church with Pastor Ronald Marshall. Interment East Ridge Cemetery.
