Imogene "Imy" Felicia Previte

PREVITE - Imogene Felicia (Mehal) "Imy," 77, Northern Cambria, died Nov. 13, 2004, at home. Born Jan. 28, 1927, in Barnesboro, daughter of Michael and Mildred (Slovensky) Mehal. Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Francis. Survived by husband of 55 years, Peter, and children: Mark, married to former Laverne Sholtis, Duncansville, and Dan, married to former Karen Kotrick, Northern Cambria; also survived by grandchildren, Dana and Marissa Previte and April and Jason Previte, and several cousins. A 1944 graduate of Barnesboro High School, where she was very active in her high school class reunions. Formerly employed as payroll clerk at Barnes and Tucker office and also worked at Barnesboro Unemployment Office. Organist at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church for 35 years and also played for funeral home services. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and member of the old community band. Imy's family and her music were the loves of her life. She was an avid golfer and bowler. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m. and Vigil for the Deceased will be held Monday evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with committal at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Mrs. Previte
