John Edward Keith

Keith, John E. 77 Cherry Tree died February 3, 2016 at Indiana Regional  Medical Center. Born January 24, 1939 in Susquehanna Township, son of Clayton and Goldie Keith. Preceded in death by parents, four sisters, two brothers, daughter Wanda Jean and John and Sarah Stiffler who raised him. Survived by wife, Elizabeth (Long) Keith , children John Edward Jr. and Rodney both of Ebensburg, Timothy of Cherry Tree, Douglas of Bellefonte, Veronica Wetzel of Durham, N.C. and   Randy of Rossiter. Also grandchildren, Jeanie (Keith) Ferrent, Jamie, Tim Jr., Daniel, Brock, Kevin, Christopher, Amanda, Matthew, Jessica George, Randy Jr. and Shane Keith and George and Rebecca Wetzel and step-grandchild Mike Lute, great-grandchildren Mckenzie and Elliott Ferrent, Lindsey, Lauren Saylor, Kadince, Damian, Leighanna, Paige, Kevin Jr., Riley, Sophia, Colt, Kevin, Jessie James, Wade and Logan  Keith, Devin Linkenfelter,  and Ethan Baker, also seven great-step-grandchildren. Brother of Betty, Esther, George, Ronald, Donald, Robert, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Robin. John was a foreman and plant supervisor at Season-All and then Gorell Windows both of Indiana. A former president and member  of Spruce Community Center and Purchase Line Booster's for many years. He drove for Freedom Chrysler and Ford. John also was an avid hunter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, Darl Dishong local preacher. Interment at McDowell Cemetery.
