Barnosky Joseph L. 74, of Northern Cambria, died December 13, 2003 at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born April 23, 1929 in Barnesboro, son of Joseph and Mary (Vitzen) Barnosky. Preceded in death by parents, wife former Rose Panaro in 1981, a brother Steve and an infant great grandson Patrick Bechel Jr. Survived by children: Joseph of Clymer, Christopher of Johnstown, Catherine Sottile and fiancAC. Greg Richardson of Portage, James and wife Barbara (Kibler) of Patton, and Kevin and wife Janet (Mitchell) of Northern Cambria, with whom he resided. Also daughter-in-law Pauline Barnosky. Also grandchildren: Heather and husband Danny McAnulty, Tracy and husband Tim Pierce, Joey and fiancAC. Tammy (Wilson), Tanya and fiancAC. Pat Bechel, Kristy, Jessica and Christopher Barnosky, Nicholas and Jenna Barnosky and Steven, Andrew and Bethany Barnosky. Also Gr. Grand. Trinity, Charity, Marissa, Blake and Tyler. Brother of Bertha and husband Bob Hendall of Rochester, New York and Leonard and wife Donna (Wagner) of Northern Cambria. Retired in 1991 from Greenwich collieries with 27 and one half years of outstanding service. Lifelong member of former St. Edwards Catholic Church. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and Greenwich Local #1609 UMWA. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 3:00 p.m. and vigil for the deceased will also be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Chapel with committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
