McCusker, Joseph Woodrow, 86, of Flinton, died Mar 20, 2005, at home. Born Dec 6, 1918, in Gray (Somerset Co.) Pa, son of William O. and Pearl (Pierce) McCusker. Preceded in death by parents, 1st wife Dessie Kruis, 2nd wife Beatrice Bushley, sisters Katherine McCusker and Sarah Evanskey, brothers, Patrick, Lawrence, Benjamin, William and Robert, step-son Don Lender, grandson Donald Berringer and one great grandson. Survived by Wife, Kathryn Galanis McCusker of Flinton, Daughters Erin Reichart (Jeffrey) of Newville, Pa and Kathryn "Kitty" Pearce (Norman) of Gipsy, sister Gail Hockenberry (William) of Coalport, and step-children Dolores Schickling Jones of Houston, Tx., Shirley Lender Krakora of Ohio, and 4 Grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Joseph was employed as a Gradall operator for over 35 years and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 66. He was a WWII Army Veteran, where he served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Janesville VFW. There will be no viewing or funeral services. Friends and family will be received at his home on Saturday, March 26, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cambria County Hospice or the Coalport Area Public Library. Long-Contres Funeral Homes Inc., Northern Cambria, is in charge of arrangements.
