Josephine A. Ciaravella

Ciaravella, Josephine A., 86 of Northern Cambria, died October 7, 2004, at Laurelwood Convalescent Nursing Care Center, Johnstown. Born November 5, 1917 in Barnesboro, daughter of Frank and Vincenza (Soldana) Ciaravella. Preceded in death by brothers Matthew, Anthony, and Peter. Survived by sisters, Mary (Joseph) Bernunzio; and Rose (Salvatore) Leone, both of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from McCrory's 5 & 10, Barnesboro. Also was employed by Phillip Jones Shirt Factory, Barnesboro; and the Barnesboro American Legion. Former member Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Member of Northern Cambria Sons of Italy Ladies' Lodge. Friends received from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 5:30 p.m.followed by Vigil for deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Josephine by Long-Contres.
