Joyce E (Switzler) Baum

Baum, Joyce E. 61 Northern Cambria, died August 6, 2016 at home. Born May 17, 1955 in Spangler, daughter of William E. and Margaret ( Petrisko) Switzler. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother of Northern Cambria, daughter Michele (Jeremy) Nixon of Portage, step grandson Zachery Nixon, her granddog Fin all of Portage, and boyfriend, David "Tink" Kvitkovich of Northern Cambria . Joyce was a middle school  social studies teacher at St. Benedict's Catholic School  for 14 years and a local tax preparer for 40 years. A member of St Benedict's Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Friends received Monday 2-4 and 7 - 9 p.m.where vigil for the deceased will be held at 1:45 p.m. at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Friends will also be received from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church's  Boniface Wimmer room until time of funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Rev. Jude Brady. Committal St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. Family requests that memorial contributions be sent to St. Benedict Catholic School P. O. Box 596 Carrolltown, Pa 15722. in lieu of flowers.
