McConnell, Leo J. Sr., "Snuffy", 82 of Emeigh, died October 21, 2004 at Beverly Healthcare-Haida, Hastings. Born April 16, 1922 in Patton, son of Russell and Clara (Roye) McConnell. Preceded in death by parents, grandson Curtis McConnell, and infant grandson; brother Kenneth; sisters Betty Sawtelle and Dorothy Wenzel; and an infant brother. Survived by wife of 58-1/2 years, former Mildred Bolette; and these children: Leo Jr. married to Frances (Rematt), Ephrata; Joseph married to Linda (Flynn), New Holland; Linda and husband Robert Zunner, Manheim; Craig married to Carol (Barto), Glen Campbell; Debra Moore and fiancAC. Larry Sauder, Winburne; Jacqueline Berish and fiancAC. Don Yeckley, Patton; Richard married to Patricia (Knotts), Hastings; and Dean married to Brenda (Spoo), Nashville, Arkansas. Also survived by 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
