Leo V. "White" McDonald

McDonald Leo V. "White" 94, of Northern Cambria, died March 7, 2005 at UPMC Lee Regional Hospital, Johnstown. Born Sept. 14, 1910 in Green Twp., son of Amos and Nelphie (Davis) McDonald. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Mahlon, Fordie and Arthur McDonald, and a sister Myrtle Davis. Survived by sisters Martha Stiffler of Cherry Tree RD2, Genevieve Craver of Harrisburg and Lila Stiffler of Commodore RD, and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Hammond's Lumber Co. of Spangler. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc. Northern Cambria, and also from 1 until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Mark Yarger. Interment at McDowell Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by local veteran's organizations.
