Leo M. Palmisano

Palmisano, Leo M., 71 of Northern Cambria, died, April 6, 2003 at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. Born December 9, 1931, in Allport, son of Daniel and Mary (Daiuto) Palmisano. Preceded in death by parents, brothers George, Fred, John and Charles, and sister Clementine Christoff. Survived by wife of 47 years, former Laura Mae Bernard, and son Leonard of Indiana, PA. Also survived by brother, Joseph of Willoughby, OH, and several nieces and nephews. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Retired self-employed carpenter. Also owner of Leo's Fly Shop. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 106, Harrisburg, PA 17110. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Mr. Palmisano by Long-Contres.
