Lillian C. (Bellavia) McConnell, 100 of Northern Cambria, passed away at home Friday
morning, May 23, 2025. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. The
first born to Anthony and Emma (Audo). After a lifetime of love and care by her daughter
Emily, she joined her loved ones in heaven. Preceded in death by her parents, loving
husband Gerald “Jerry” McConnell whom she married on November 22, 1951, sisters
Josephine Bellavia, Rita Hnatkovich, and Dolores Glass; nephew Eric Glass and niece
Toni-Renee Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily McConnell who was her constant companion
and primary caretaker throughout her life. She is also survived by her three
grandchildren, Derrick Laney, Erica Statler (Mark), and Nicole Murphy (Jeff); two great
grandchildren, her namesake Lillian Statler and Elijah Mikitko; her niece Audia Boyles
(Jamie) and nephew John Glass (Mary Ellen) and Mark Anderson; great nieces
Alexandra Boyles, Jackie Neighbors (Daniel), Alexa Glass, Stephenie Scialabba (John);
great nephews Donald Glass, Jared Glass (Sami), Nicholas Glass (Maggie); great
grandniece Autumn, and great grandnephews Kevin, and Gannon Glass, Davis and
Silas Neighbors, and Teddy Scialabba.
Lillian was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and her patron saint was
Mother Cabrini. As a homemaker, Lillian loved to be surrounded by children and spent
time cleaning and sorting through household items. She will be forever missed by those
who loved her and counted on her to share family history as our historian.
