Mae Caroline Brown

Brown, Mae Caroline, 98 of Northern Cambria, died June 15, 2004 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born September 19, 1905, in Green Twp., daughter of John E. and Margaret (Kessler) Brown. Preceded in death by parents, brothers Jay and Ralph; sisters Grace Brown and Louise Arford; an infant brother; 2 infant sisters; and nephew Dwight Brown. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by sister-in-law Anna Brown; niece Susan Arford; nephews Luther Brown, Dr. R.R. Brown, and Reginald Arford; and numerous great nieces and great-nephews. Graduate of ISTC, now IUP. Retired from Penns Manor School District in 1967 with 44 years of service as a 1st grade teacher. Member of Church of Christ, Indiana; and National, State and Local Retired Teachers Associations and IUP Alumni Association. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Rev. Lawrence Barr. Interment Salem Cemetery.
