Magdalene Schrenkel

Schrenkel, Magdalene, 101 of Northern Cambria, died August 3, 2005 at her home. Born June 23, 1904 in West Branch, daughter of John and Theresa (Kalapos) Sasway. Preceded in death by parents, husband John F. in 1986, son John, brothers John, Andrew, Joseph, and infants Steven and Steven, and sisters Mary Visnyiczke, Elizabeth Myers, Theresa Krazalkovich, and infant Elizabeth. Survived by children Louise married to James Kolonay, Hastings; Dolores married to Frank Ogureck, Wyomissing; and Celeste Young, Erie. Also survived by grandchildren Lisa, James, Erin, Patricia, Sean, John, Sheila, & Steven; and 4 great-grandchildren. Member of former St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church; and present member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends received 6-9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal at St. John's Cemetery.
