Margaret B. "Peg" Dawes

Dawes, Margaret B. "Peg" (Eastman), 86 of Haida Manor, Hastings, formerly of Northern Cambria, died September 17, 2004, at the manor. Born October 19, 1917, in Dixonville, daughter of Martin G. and Catherine (Hovanchick) Eastman. Preceded in death by parents, husband Stanley in 1959, brother John, and sisters Suzanna Eastman, and Anna Adams. Survived by son Robert married to former Genevieve Baran of Macomb, MI; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Marian Wendekier, Patton; Helen Galinsky, Northern Cambria, and Michael of Michigan. Member of former St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria where Vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal at East Ridge Cemetery. A tree will presented to the family in living memory of Mrs. Dawes by Long-Contres.
