Margaret Jane Joiner

Joiner, Margaret Jane, 99 of Asbury Methodist Village, Gaithersburg, MD, formerly of Washington, DC and Barnesboro R.D. 2, died September 21, 2003 at Asbury Methodist Village. Born August 4, 1904, in Pine Twp., daughter of George M. and Molly (Williams) Joiner. Preceded in death by parents, and brothers Dalvin, Doyle, Paul, and Roy. Last surviving member of immediate family. Survived by 14 nieces and nephews. Former member of Mt. Vernon Place United Methodist Church, Washington, DC. Retired Civil Servant for Veterans Administration in Washington, DC, after 34 years of service. She was an avid canasta and bridge player. Friends received from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, Rev. Stanley Bhasker. Interment McDowell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolent Fund, Asbury Methodist Village, Wilson Health Care Center, 401 Russell Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
