Marjorie M. Woods

Woods, Marjorie M., 89 of Northern Cambria, died July 18, 2003 at Haida Manor, Hastings. Born June 25, 1914 in Houtzdale, daughter of John V. and Isabel (Goss) Moore. Preceded in death by parents, husband R. Delmont Woods, and brother Richard Goss Moore. Survived by son Dr. Jon R. Woods married to Donna (Greer) of Columbus, OH. Also grandchildren Catherine, Jon Stephen, and Victoria Woods. Sister of John Moore and wife Minnie of Waynesburg, James S. Moore of Tacoma, Washington, and Beth married to Robert Klar of Indiana, PA. Mrs. Woods proudest achievement was that of her son Jon, the current director of the Ohio State University marching band. She had a very special love for all of her parental family as well. Retired from G.C. Murphy Co. of Barnesboro and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Joy Blackburn officiating. Interment North Barnesboro Cemetery. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be sent to St. John's United Methodist Church, 910 Chestnut Avenue, Northern Cambria, PA 15714. A tree will presented to the family in living memory of Mrs. Woods by the funeral home.
