Martha J (Glenn) Phillips

Phillips, Martha Jean (Glenn) 87 of Cherry Tree, died May 27, 2015, in the loving arms of her family. She is survived by her children; Bruce G., Indiana; Kathie A. (George) DeBoer, Western Springs, IL; Paul E. (Colleen), Coral; Jennifer L., Cambridge, Ma; Rebecca J. (Robert) Martinez, Abington; Amy J., Walnut Creek, Ca; David E., Vernon, Ct; grandchildren; Jennifer, Julie and Carrie DeBoer; Erin (Robert) Zack, Shawn Kelly and Stephanie Phillips; Ana, Katherine and Isabelle Martinez; great-grandchildren; Corbin and Amelia Zack, Aiden Kelly, Evie Nihart; siblings; Winona Lightner of Erie; Dwight Glenn of Adelphia, Md; Rogers Glenn of Shenandoah Junction, WV; Mary K. Zieminski of Rocklin, Ca; Margaret Lezark of Garden Valley, Ca; Cynthia Sparks of Owings Mills, Md; sister-in-law; Jane Dzelzitis of Richmond Ky; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Leland C. "Dutch", her mother and father, and brothers; Gerald, Lowell and Ronald Glenn. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Education degrees at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught in the Harmony Area School District for twenty-three years. She was a member of the Cherry Tree Presbyterian Church, serving as Clerk of Session for seventeen years. She will be remembered for her incomparable gentle and generous spirit. Her family loved her dearly and will cherish the gift of her life forever. At the family's request, there will be no public visitation. A private funeral service will be held. Interment will be in the Uniontown Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Cherry Tree.
