Mary Lou Wilson, 72 of Cherry Tree, a beloved angel, wife and mother, went to meet her maker on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Conemaugh Miner’s Medical Center, Hastings.
Born July 7, 1952, in Spangler, the daughter to the late Elzie and Marian (Wholaver) Woodside, Sr.
Surviving is her husband of 53 years James Wilson; four children, Sabrina (Bruce) South of Indiana, Andrew (AnnMarie) Wilson of Ashtabula, Oh, Tammie (Joe) Barnosky of Northern Cambria and Chris (Rebecca) Wilson of Cherry Tree; several grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three siblings, Judy Roland, Karen Keith and Elzie Woodside, Jr.
Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Gibbons and Crissie Rhue.
Mary was a member of the Garman Church of God. She loved making quilts and was amazing at crocheting bedspreads. She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and was known to her family as “Betty Crocker” due to her love of baking and she wasn’t afraid to try out new recipes that ended up being delicious. Mary touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all who got the chance to get to know her.
A visitation will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m.
