Mary Ellen (Deyarmin) Evans

Evans, Mary Ellen, 84, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away May 6, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Born April 10, 1934 in Indiana County, daughter of Wilmer Clair and Maude Elizabeth (Clawson) Deyarmin.  Preceded in death by parents, husband James Evans who died in 1998, son Dwayne Owen Evans, grandson Jimmy Kok, and son-in-law Roscoe Hager.  Survived by daughters Mary Ann Dotson, Belinda Hickman and Wanda Lee Hager, all of Cleveland Oh.  Also grandchildren Eileen Valazquez, Tracy Marie Lynch, Melissa Ray and husband Steve Webb, Roscoe and wife Jamie Hager, Christina Kok, Kari Horn, Tyler Bryant, James Hickman and Mary Ellen Hickman.  Also survived by 22 great-grandchildren plus one on the way and 7 great-great-grandchildren plus one on the way.  Sister of Linda Jarrett of Eaton Oh. She was formerly employed by RTA of Cleveland Oh.  She was the best loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a very hard working grandmother.  Friends received from noon until time of funeral service 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Thompson Cemetery Hillsdale.  Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria is in charge of arrangements.
