Mildred Mae McMackin, 91 of Northern Cambria passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Haida Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Hastings.
Born January 11, 1933, in Nu Mine daughter to the late Jess and Jane (Griffiths) Potts.
Surviving are six children, Linda (Gerald) Bills of Hastings, Cindy (James) Coursin of Homer City, Patricia Sickles of Indiana, William McMackin of Ebensburg, Leo McMackin of Northern Cambria and Shirley McMackin of Northern Cambria; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a brother, James Potts.
She was preceded by a daughter, Barbara Purkall, grandson, Billy Joe McMackin, sisters, Emily Ebersberger, Margaret Frolich, Charlette Aloi and an infant sister and infant brother.
Mildred loved arts and crafts, latchhook, ceramics, puzzles and especially plastic canvas. She also enjoyed traveling and was able to visit all 50 states.
Friends will be received Monday, August 26, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Carpenter officiating. Interment will be at North Barnesboro Cemetery.
