Oscar L. "Tyke" Davis

Davis Oscar L. "Tyke" 35, of Clymer, died July 19, 2003 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born August 14, 1967 in Spangler, son of Richard T. and Lois M. (Marsh) Davis. Survived by parents of Alverda, wife former Lois (Davis), and step-children Jeffrey and Justin. Brother of Kim married to George Polenik of Alverda and Nancy Davis of Alverda and nephews Trentin and Ian. Also best friends Nick Veltre and Jeff Cressley. 1985 graduate of Penns Manor High School. Member of Heilwood American Legion Post # 936 and Indiana County Voiture 40 & 8 Club. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria and from 9 until time of funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at McDowell Cemetery Chapel, Rev. Robert Bartlebaugh. Interment McDowell Cemetery. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Tykes family c/o Lois Davis, Box 44, Alverda, Pa. 15710. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Tyke by the funeral home.
