Patricia Kopas

              Patricia “Patty” Kopas, 89 of Northern Cambria passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at UPMC Altoona.

               She was born on January 11, 1936, a daughter to the late William and Mildred (Wiewiora) Carroll. She married Raymond Kopas on April 27, 1954, in Barnesboro. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2005. Also preceded in death by a brother Larry Carroll.

               Surviving are two daughters, Kim Salley and husband Dennis of Northern Cambria, and Lynn Contres and husband Charles of Durham, NC; six grandchildren, Kalie Acquarulo and husband Dominic, Alicia Tanceusz and husband Kevin, Casey Contres and wife Annalyse, Molly Moriconi and husband Nicholas, Rubi Salley and Taylor Salley; six great grandchildren, Isaac, Arya and Enzo Acquarulo, Tucker and Rowan Tanceusz and Grace Moriconi; and a sister, Celeste Vrana.

               Patty was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Church where she helped provide families with funeral dinners. She enjoyed playing bingo and trying her luck at lottery tickets. She was an animal lover all her life, especially dogs and cats. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be truly missed.

               A memorial service will be held noon Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Barrett Funeral Home, 822 Philadelphia Ave., Northern Cambria. Memorial donations in Patty’s honor may be made to the Central Pa Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, Pa 16602.
