"Pete" McKeehen

McKeehen Harry D. "Pete" 71, of Cherry Tree, died December 1, 2002 at home. Born January 12, 1931 in Kerrmoor, son of Don and Olive (McGarvey) McKeehen. Preceded in death by parents, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Gladys Anderson. Survived by loving wife of 53 years former Jane Ann Anderson, and children: Ron and wife Nancy (Fisher), Kingston, New Hampshire, Randy and wife Jackie (Jacobs), Cherry Tree, and Patricia and husband Douglas Stiteler, Shelocta, and grandchildren Kristi and Misti McKeehen, and Jason and Heather Stiteler. Brother of Don and wife Maralyn, Curwensville, John and wife Peg, Calabash, North Carolina; Mary Janet, Shelocta; Jerry and wife Jane, Altoona, Sara Jane wife of Larry Kramer and Norma Jean Manuel both of Bethany Forrest, Delaware; and Lois and husband Ed Sell, Woodbury. Retired after 35 years from FMC Syntron, Homer City. Member of Cherry Tree United Methodist Church, life member of Cherry Tree Volunteer Fire Co., 32nd Degree Mason and member of F&AM Lodge # 574, Coalport and Altoona Consistory. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc. Cherry Tree where Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Cherry Tree United Methodist Church, Rev. Ronald Marshall. Interment Citizens Cemetery. Family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Harry's name to Cherry Tree United Methodist Church, South Main Street, Cherry Tree, Pa. 15724. A tree will be presented to the family in living memory of Mr. McKeehen by the funeral home.
